So I just "heard" the last Ministry album "The Last Sucker"
which despite the iffy title is actually really good.
Combined with Rio Grande Dub they are ending on a very high note.
It ends with Eisenhower's speech about the dangers of the USA Military Complex,
in an uplifting note, with the word PEACE actually echoing in the middle of the song.
RIP Ministry 1981 - 2007.

They've been a joke since the mid 90's.

So long, Ministry...
I'm glad I've seen them live on last year's pukkelpop! It was, well, loud allover

Aye. "Rape & Honey" was the only one I liked.
Still though, if you're a Ministry fan, at least going out on a high seems like a decent thing to do.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
Stepping into the wayback machine when I lived in Phoenix some years ago and this was when Ministry was on Wax Trax records they came and played in town.
Though I didn't attend the show it is now in the land of urban legend.
At the time one of the local ELKS clubs decided it would be a bright idea to start renting out one of the lodges big halls, that are usually used for weddings and funerals, and have bands play there. The first and final act that they booked was Ministry.
I don't think the person who booked the band realized that it was not a gospel band on tour. All I know is that is the place was totally destroyed and it was the last concert that the ELKS had there. It was a big story at the time and is still talked about from time to time.

priceless!
Especially loved RevCo on the beers steers and queers tour, have seen some fantastic Ministry shows, and some merely great ones ~ i reckon this farewell should consolidate Al and his boys into the ferocious live energy we fans know and love most.
...and then they can do endless "last ever" gigs like The Damned

Jello Biafra's appearance is three things:
a nonsense political diatribe;
an art wank;
but ultimately,
a waste of video tape.
I do wish he'd fuck off out of it.

Had it on repeat, passed out due to an excess of uncoolahol one night back at the 'old house'. Neighbours complained, cops showed up.
Gave them a sob story.
They fecked off, I went back to bed, sans sounds and visions.
Still a fuckin' amazin' track apart from Larry the Lamb being a complete and totaly ERSE!
