The Sisters Of Murphy + Rhombus - 5th August (Leeds)
Blimey Scardwel, that was a QUICK post! 10:56pm - I hadn't even got out of Subculture yet!Scardwel wrote:Tonight was a whole lot of fun (despite the heat!) and I raise my glass to another 10 years of The Smurphs!
Excellent evening b.t.w. The Smurphs and Rhombus were in fine form! Introduced my teenage son to the joys of loud music and sticky underground nightclubs. Now he wants to see the Smurphs in Crewe.

Sorry I missed it but after a night of carnage on Planet Dave, I slept through it

Still playing guitar - sometimes weird shaped ones.
Got to agree with Dave.
Better than than the real thing.
Great gig & great night (even the wailing version of TOL was good )
Was funny to see the expanse of black goffness with a massive, pasty, white Belgian half naked in the middle of it all

Rhombus was excellent (Ed, you sound exactly like that guy from Red Lorry Yellow Lorry - hope that's not an insult! ); the Smurphs blew me right the hell away. Not sure who's the cover band, now...I think ol' Eldo oughtta get some tips from Mockeldritch and the rest of you lot! Fanf*ckingtastic! It was an honor to be there for your 10th, kiddies! Just amazing.

Most marvellous gigs Sadly, this year the Sisters scored just higher on my Sweat-to-Music ratio. But a rather amazing gig nevertheless, absolutely loved every bit of it :notworty:

I yelled 'Vision Thing', and Sid said 'Alright' and kicked it in. F'kin awesome.
