Who do you listen to that never gets mentioned on Heartland?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I heard Roland as an impressionable and very young kid; this brat up the street brought his parents' record over, one afternoon. I was scarred for quite awhile afterwards, hahaha! Never forgotten the tune, either. ;)

My introduction was fairly young, too (very early teens perhaps) - just happened to catch a concert that was broadcast on BBC Radio 1 ... it blew me away and I've had a soft spot for the guy ever since. :notworthy:

Oh, and the bands he's affiliated/was affiliated with rarely get a mention, either (other than Ministry, natch). Pffft.

I'm constantly mentioning RevCo, damn fine band, better than Ministry IMO

 Herr Blastykins, I'm actually in agreement with you. Ministry ain't what they used to be, and I find a lot of their new material nearly unlistenable. On the other hand, I *HEART* RevCo - even got to hang out with Luc Van Acker after their show last year (up close and personal!). Imagine a bunch of people in various stages of drunkenness, crammed into the back seat of a car that's being driven far too fast in light of the condition of the driver (eep) yelling, "38! 38!" at the tops of their lungs, out of the car windows into the Chicago pre-dawn. Priceless. ;D :notworthy:

Dodgy goff wise, I'm surprised that Sex Gang Children and UK Decay don't get mentioned more. Two very fine bands, plus (as I rather drunkedly attempted to explain to Zeno once) I can even detect an early Genesis influence in some SGC stuff. (Should I prepare for a stabbin'? )
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I'm wi Sinnie - BD should sing into a reverse polarity vo-coder, his voice should come out normal.

Back OT - Linda Lamb, Vitalic, Westbam, Richie Hawtin, Air, Daft Punk, Nathan Fake, Fairmont, a million others. Not too much mention of them suckers round these parts.
