Other music obsessions

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I´m new in Myheartland, there are a lot of topics to read  so I don´t know if what I am gonna ask now has been done before or not. Anyway is a quite typical question, I don´t feel very "original" tonight.
I would like to know what are your other music obsessions, fave bands, etc.
Mine are The Sisters Of Mercy (specially between 1980 and 1985), The Jesus And Mary Chain (God!, how much I adore them :notworthy:, William Reid! ) and Rozz Williams (Christian Death, Shadow Project, Daucus Karota, Heltir, etc). I´m also laterly quite "obsessed" with Uk Decay.

i'd be with nancy_78,but with more recent nosing about in the likes of VNV Nation,Angels and Agony and the like.with the stuff which came before it too,the earliwer stuff like front 242,casandra complex, kmdf, apoptygma bezerker, die krupps.
pay homage to the earlier trad stuff such as the Rolling Stones,Jimi Hendrix(the greatest blues guitarist of all time,i think)the very early Pink Floyd(such as Bike, pure genius).
love the Carpenters too,Mamas and papas, van morrison, janis joplin,beatles-of course;to more recent stuff such as incubus(not sucubus) and a whole lot of the bands which fall under the "nu metal"label.
siouxsie, the cure, the neph, are where i am at home tho and none reach out to me more than the sounds of the sisters.

oh and umm,hi to you too :)

Likewise, eclectic. Stuff I'm listening to lately includes The Sisters, the Cure, Billy Bragg, Souad Massi, India Arie, Lauryn Hill, Portishead, Beth Gibbon, New Order / Joy Division, Fields of the Nephilim, Lamb, Massive Attack, Martina Topley-Bird, Leonard Cohen, Led Zeppelin, the White Stripes, Tori Amos, Erykah Badu - depends what mood I'm in, really, and whether I'm working, driving, gorming, or what.

Paddy, you should listen to Godhead's new album Evolver...heavier, much heavier. Makes 2000 Years... almost unlistenable now.

Actually the singles were much better than the album, "For madmen only". Oh!, in 1980 I was just 2 or 3 years old!, I have missed so many good concerts because of "my age" and geographical problems  .

Yeah, the singles are much better for my taste, songs like "Middle of the road man", "Disco romance", "Unwind" or "Uk Decay". The album was not bad, tracks like "Unexpected guest" or "Sexual" are quite cool but in comparison with the singles is not the biggest hit. Some songs are quite boring.

Do you think I will have trouble in making two things at the same time?, do you have problems with Miss Nick O´Tine being here and in "the other board" at the same time ?.
