Bunnymen...live For £5

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

But it´s only half of the Bunnymen these days and their last few records were rubbish. Weren´t they? :?

Never knew the Bunnymen were an "upcoming band".

Their last few records may have been pish, but they can still pull off a cracking show when they feel like it. Full gig reports are expected, folks!
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Now confirmed on the Bunnymen site. :D :notworthy: :D :notworthy:

This must be the smallest, cheepest bunnymen gig for years.

Off to watch Will DJ tonight which could be fun.

Personally, I thought Flowers and Siberia were decent enough. And they do have the decency to play their hits live.

I, in all seriousness, thought they lost it on Ocean Rain, not a popular view (as I know from the abuse I got on the Bunnymen forum) but I used to get totally out of my mind to Crocodiles and Heaven Up Here, Porcupine had some absolute knock outs but after that, it just stopped happening for me. :| :| :|

I'll concede there is undoubtedly something untouchable about the first two albums. But as far as most reformations go, the Bunnies have at least put the effort in over the last ten years. It's a shame Les couldn't stay on-board, but things were never going to be the same after Pete's untimely death. :(

I'm too ignorant re: Cope's history to know what album's what, but I still love Kolly Kibber's Birthday, Fear Loves This Place, Charlotte Anne, et al.

Well that was f**king great. A nice, small, sweaty venue (imagine Joseph Well but smaller) with the bunnymen on stage for about 70 mins. Nice greatest hits set with 2 new songs and no ocean rain. :notworthy:  :notworthy:

Oh and free magners in the pub beforehand. :D

Where the hell were you? Went looking but couldn't see you before it all got a bit packed. I was front row, centre stage about 3 feet from Mac (wait til you see the pics scotty, you'll be dead jealous). Almost got into 2 fights, one with a bouncer for taking pics and one with this huge twat behind us who kept using Mrs R's shoulders as a climbing frame

Amazing gig and a bit of a  moment being that close to one of my heroes

Oh, and the whole thing was filmed :notworthy:

We were about 4 - 5 feet in front of Will so we must have been near each other.

Them bouncers were complete twats. It felt like every 2 minutes they were trying to get past to have a go at somebody for taking photos.
