Known Unknowns

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Is there a recording of Philadelphia? Was that the show where Adam allegedly played Sweet Home Alabama or some such?

@PIB: do you believe some of these recordings will eventually get in circulation in some way?

If someone fancies sending me a copy of the Annexet DVD I'd happily sync it with the (near) soundboard audio :innocent:

PIB: Ohh. Funny, sometimes i imagine i see small updates, especially in the 80s section, but i guess i pay attention to different things at different times.

At any rate, i refuse to believe getting all of those is impossible.

Btw, some gigs from 1990 seem to exist also. Sao Paulo and the 2nd Drogheda date.

Here is another one for the list: the tape from Sabine's Living Room 92 gig. I remember a discussion about that on Dominion some years ago. :innocent:

That's the one, 21.10.90. Thanks. Old man's memory doing tricks again.

How bad? Who has it? :)

And the only one who supposedly has Sabine's Living Room gig is Eldritch, and i think his collexion of MX recordings doesn't count in this thread  Of course, could also be he really gave the tape to Sabine but swore Sabine to quietitude about it...after all, if that came to circulation, there'd be little doubt who was the culprit.

Hardly any audience sound would probably have made it sound like a studio recording....

Next time I am in Dublin I will ask the Irish godfather of Bootlegs (he been responsible for the recording of Drogheda and the Redbox gigs) if he has a recording of it.

I don't think that is necessary because the audio is pretty good, the video isn't :|
