sisters stand-in bassist from 82-85 era?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

That'd be Craig wouldn't it?

Never heard of him, although John Langford did play at one Sisters gig.

I do know that Craig left the Sisters at one stage to be a photographers assistant only to come back after those US gigs. This might be the stand-in bloke but I've never heard his name mentioned.

Jon Langford played bass York University 5th Feb'82.

Also on a slightly related note, I was told that Ben Gunn left BEFORE the 2nd American tour, so the 2 dates they played (Los Angeles Alexandria Hotel 29.10.83 & San Fransisco I-Beam 31.10.83) were played without Ben Gunn. Listening to those 2 gigs, the sound is a bit thinner, so it sounds like they just played them as a 3-piece (or 4-piece if you include the Doktor).
