Mobile phones 20years old today

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

We used to have a car phone back in the early nineties, which got replaced by a huge Ericsson in about '96, must be about five times the size of my current mobile and back then everybody was amazed at how tiny it was

Apart from that: Ain't all the radiation sweet 8)

Remember this huge mobile phone in Lethal Weapon 1 ? That was hilarious.
And there's also this flashback episode of X-Files, which takes place in 1989, when Mulder uses one of the very first mobiles. ;D

It was funny, until life imitated art. :?

My favorite mobile was made by BOSCH, no word of a lie. I think it came cheap from behind the Iron Curtain or something. ;D
