Rugby World Cup (France)

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

That sets it up on a good interesting note - very enjoyable and a lot of heart won them the game

Nice result for the ArgieBargies, not as high as it could have been but I suspect the atmosphere in the french locker room at half time was pretty flippin' hostile.
WTF are you doing in the 212, EB?! Wow, color me clueless...and you're on! ;D

Livin', workin', and causin' mischief, m'dear ;D There's a couple of decent places round the corner from me, naans galore and when they hear the English accent they understand that when I order a vindaloo I expect it to be hot enough to boil a wallaby's arse'ole, your majesty.

YEs congratulations to the pumas, they did a fantastic game with their heart and our team was never able to deploy its game, our players were really too much inside the emotion, their foot game was a nightmare ...

So this afternoon the english and the all-goths start the competition ;)

Good game this afternoon, England v USA - looks like we finally managed to relearn how to run the ball, although there were way too many handling errors and silly mistakes. Granted, we won, but it should have been a rout and we shouldn't have allowed the US to have the opportunities that they did.

South Africa - Samoa was fun. I wish Samoa had scored one or two more tries, they deserved it. 8)

True but you never know Eric!

England scored zero points against SA and I guess you noticed that in soccer: France - Scotland 0-1....Well not that surprising either maybe...

Meanwhile....Wales - Wallabies 20-32.... :D

I really, truly, honestly don't give a sh!t about football. I find it extreeeeeemely boring. And that's when I'm in a good mood. :innocent:

France finishing 8th at Eurobasket, on the other hand, is totally unacceptable ! They lost to Croatia and then Slovenia !

France crushing Namibia at the rugby world cup is just business as usual. No offence meant, but come on, Namibia !

Whether you give a s**t about soccer or not; it's just an example to show that in sports anything seems possible....which is a great thing... :)

You got a point.
It was more of a reaction to the last part of your previous post :

Not a surprise ?? I think it is a big one, this was a real hold-up, I have never seen such a miserable team as the scottish one, this team is really what football has worst, they just defend and have scored a miraculous goal, they really give a bad image of modern football.
They had one shot and scored one, the french had 24 shots and a ball possession over 75 % !!!
But anyway congratulations to the scottish team, they won and that it is the most important thing in this s**t modern football ...

The only football I can appreciate is run & gun football. 5-3, 4-6... That's entertainment ! ;D
Seriously, who wants defensive games ?

Great game of rugby, too much beer, too much food - hangover from hell.

Perfect!!

I thought we aquitted ourselves very well against the Wallabies.
I must make a note to tell all Australian fans that long socks with flip-flops is a very, very bad look.
