The making of Heartland

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Well, I'll play Wimbledon, but only as long as the Monarchy clause is applicable for moving back, until that changes, I think I'm in a safe place.

I think we are saying a lot about what makes Heartland now. I'm only new here, as such, but even I can feel the love when this sort of thing kicks off. How many other boards would take the game this far? I'd therefore not be too hard on the derailment (see what I did there!) as you know it'll always come back on it's own.

Oh yeah, Gateshead Stadium (heading east)

Me, but only as I'm "replacing rolling stock" and thus out of the game.

I'll head to bed now and place my money on SINnie to win.

Waterloo is still allowed, against my better judgement 8)

Derailment is Heartland's most constructive force besides the general HL effect, Splintered. I have said that elsewhere before (To boozed and lazy to look now..).
This thread looks to me like genesis happening.
A staged reply.

Which, incidentally, means that I win.

I even put my bet on SINnie to win last night! Yay!

Good work, over-the-water player!

So, Heartland then? Old school chaps and chappesses, what's it all about?

It's funny though, and just an observation mind you, that it depends on who does the de-railing as to how long it is allowed to continue :innocent:

Anyway, back in the days Quiff was a member of another thriving little community, decided he liked the format and thought he'd have a go.

Damn it Sinny. I knew my bluff wouldn't work, I could have done a First Class reroute with a stop order and gone to Mornington Crescent in my next turn.

Good game, though, champion at your first attempt. :notworthy:

Actually, they've answered the original question. No-one remembers how Heartland got here, we just know it's about 75% derailed over there!
