You neglected to mention it's presented by the mighty Armando Iannucci...

Comic fans will be interested in this on BBC4 tonight at 9:00.
Jonathan Ross in Search of Steve Ditko
Documentary in which Jonathan Ross tries to track down and interview one of his heroes, the reclusive 80-year-old American comic book artist Steve Ditko, creator of Spiderman. Ditko has never given an interview and consistently, if politely, declines all offers to talk about his work. Ross travels to glamorous LA, exciting New York and chilly Northampton to meet with fellow fans and comic book professionals such as Alan Moore and Paul Gambaccini in order to discover more about the man.

Just watched the second one - better, but only went to the end of things like Roy of the Rovers.
The good thing is that at the end they set the next one up for the period of things like 2000AD and Deadline.
Monday 24th BBC4.....

Was a pretty decent double bill with the Factory thing, but what were they doing giving Ezquerra subtitles?!?
Was a bit annoyed with the amount of Viz characteres covered at the expense of the 2000AD stuff but they still had a lot of decent artists.. Tank Girl at the expense of Halo Jones was a poor choice though!
...& Alan Moore's porn comic is dreadful btw

Not got round to watching this yet but thought the seconds episode missed out out a lot by not talking about Johnny Red and Battle/Action. I'm hoping the third episode might cover more than just 2000AD and Viz.

Can't get enough Alan Moore- its a shame they insist on making awful movies loosely based on his writing

Apparently Alan Moore refuses to take any profit from movies based on his writing. Why he objects to the lovely English dish of 'eggy in a basket' I'll never know however
