Burning gapless CDs

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Does any one have any clue how I burn CDRs without Media Player putting bloody gaps between each track? I'm using version 11.

Its just annoying for burning bootlegs, because the songs/audience sometimes flow into each other...

Thanks a lot

TBH I don't use WMP to burn discs.
Either Nero or Itunes are easier for me.

You can set up the config very easily to record gapless stuff.

Itunes is also free to download & it's a fcukin' synch to setup.
Cheers.

The same problems here....now i burn CD with Nero and all the files resetting my I-Tunes. On it there is a section (my version is in italian) called( i think) settings> preferences> space between songs.....reset to 0
I spent my day trying to remaster all my files, and now i burnt 20 CD.....without any space

TBH Maisey.
If it's just CDs for now, then itunes is a piece of p!ss to set for gapless burning.
Only thing is it doesn't do flac (or is there another plug in I don't know about yet?)
Cheers.

As far as I know itunes doesn't do flacs. You need to use something to convert them to wav & then drop them into itunes.
Make sure you set up the preferences (in the edit menu).
Go to the advanced tab, then the burning tab & there you have the settings.
you can have gaps if you want, or no gaps at all.
Media player is just a pile of crap (but it does play flacs & oggs). ;D
Cheers.

Thing with flac Marco is that it is a type of compression (lossless though) so the files are smaller than Wavs.
If you want to keep all the flacs, then I suggest burning them to a dvd to keep.
Otherwise, covert them to wav & burn a cd as you wish & then delete the files off your hard disc.
You can always rip the cd & convert to flac if you like at a later date if you want to upload it for someone.
What I do with the flacs is decode them to wav, burn the cd & delete the whole lot from the hdd (unless I'm seeding them).
Cheers.

You can use DbPowerAMP. Works a treat, although I recommend you use Version 10 as the later versions have a limit on the amount of MP3 encodes you can do.

You can update the codecs easily and you can get extra codecs (like the FLAC codec plugin) from Here

My comp came with "IBM Record Now! v.7.0 professional".

Seems to be working fine with and without gaps, I have no idea whether this is free software though. Then again, I am but a nitwit when it comes to technicalities, so when a program does something for me without me having to do a bloody thing, I'm happy.

Oki doki.
But it's easy.
Just drag the flacs into the menu & click the decode button.
Wait until it has finished & bam!!! load of wavs to play with.
:D
Cheers.
