Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Not bad! :notworthy:

Normally you can't get near Hall for nouveau riche Chav weddings, all stretch Hummers and sixteen cousins looking like those Flump marshmallow sweets. :urff:

Hmm...

All I can imagine is you should be pronouncing it, "Eee, Learning" and they didn't have room for the "By 'eck,"

Very nice.

I took a not-entirely-dissimilar picture down Glasgow's Argyle Street a few days ago. It was approaching sunset and there was just a really nice quality to the light (not sure if my photo quite captured it, but I tried dammit!).

Warm light and long shadows - a great mood to that. I can imagine somebody like the Chemical Brothers using it for a single cover!

Only been there once, last summer - with someone who occasionally pops up on HL as it happens, in various guises :von: ... lives in Wiltshire (last I heard). Hmmmmm ... do I know you from somewhere perchance, "E"? :innocent:
What?

All my life I've wanted to be someone; I guess I should have been more specific.

Shall I take that as a "No" then?

The mood of the light is very much the same though - I can see why the thought entered your head.

All good stuff!

I don't know what you're saying, but I would think a 'No' to 'Do I know you from somewhere?.

If you didn't have a lady called Claire in your home last summer, then no.

Apologies then, if I was off there... some of your posts just really reminded me of someone else who, as I said, has been on here in more than one guise.

No offence intended.

I had many people in my house last summer and two called Claire and I know neither were you.

No offence necessary :?

Now this is the Glasgow we all know and love:

Of course, if I had Carpy's confidence, this would be a "street portrait" of a Glesga wino pissing into an alcove...

Cool one, Steven - love the lighting, and how that building in the distance "disappears" at the top, because of it. \m/

That's mighty fine as it is - no wino needed in the slightest!

It's very hard to take a pic from the dark out into the light and that works a treat.

Two Claire's-with-an-i... crikey jings, what's the chances of that! You must be very popular
No Claire Morrow's I take it? That would just be too weird.

(Yeah, I know it's not the smartest to put your full name on a message board, but it's out there anyway in enough other posts where I'm claiming to be related to Stuart Morrow out of New Model Army  )
