Since I'm nearing the point at which I will have heard all official Sisters songs, I've been looking which I'm missing, and I believe I only need confirmation now.
I am confused about the songs released on the singles in the Vision Thing era, and possibly the promos (but I don't think I will try to hear all those)
it says these were released:
* Doctor Jeep (Radio Edit)
* Knockin' on Heaven's Door (Live Bootleg)
* Burn (Live Bootleg)
* Amphetamine Logic (Live Bootleg)
* When You Don't See Me (Remix)
* Ribbons (Live)
* Something Fast (Live)
* I Was Wrong (American Fade)
* Vision Thing (Canadian Club Mix)
* When You Don't See Me (German Release)
I think I have these but I'm not sure. The Doctor Jeep version I have doesn't say "radio edit" but "extended" and is 8:59. The When You Don't See Me version I have says "German release" instead of "Remix" and is 4:48. (is there any difference anyway?) And my Vision Thing doesn't say "Canadian club remix" but "extended version" and is 7:32.
If I indeed have these it only leaves the live bootleg version of Burn and Amphetamine Logic for me to hear. Also can someone say whether there is a special version of any song in the Promo releases except the 3x More? Like, is the Deto Boulevard 3:49 remix different from Vision Thing? or the 8:54 promo Dr. Jeep?
Vision Thing singles: which song is which?
Dr Jeep Radio Edit is on the CD single along with the Extended version & Knocking on Heaven's Door (Bootleg Live Bremen 1985)
When You Don't See Me (Remix) is a German release CD single
Vision Thing (Canadian Club remix) is on the Temple of Love (1992) CD single,and is 7.32 long.
Hope that this is some help

You Could be the One
Doctor Jeep (Radio Edit)
Knockin' on Heaven's Door (Live Bootleg)
Burn (Live Bootleg) (on Limited Edition 12")
Amphetamine Logic (Live Bootleg) (on Limited Edition 12")
When You Don't See Me (Remix) (German only Release 12")
Ribbons (Live)
Something Fast (Live)
Temple of Love 1992
I Was Wrong (American Fade)
Vision Thing (Canadian Club Mix)
There was also an edit done of Detonation Boulevard for the US Radio (and accompanying Video) but it wasn't released as a commercially available single as such.
Same tracks (or at least times) as on the single releases.Ozpat wrote:Wasn't there also a Dr. Jeep/Sandstorm cd?
However, tracks of More can be off by four seconds on different releases of the single (digipak and jewel case, I think), if I recall correctly.
Aye, this confirms my Duvel befuddled memory was right!

I can hear a difference in the mix between the US promo and the album version, although it could have been caused by the version I ripped it off (got the album version off the 2006 remaster).
The promo is much brighter sounding and louder as well, some of the background guitar sound is much more defined.

not forgetting the 2 (or 3?) Power mixes of More - earmarked for german release in 93(?) but binned by EW due to Von trying to stick more bootlegs on the b-sides. Think they appear on the Ultra Rare Trax bootleg cds, or something similar. I had one of them, but lent it out to within an inch of its life (ie it never came back).

I've got a CD called Ultra Rare Trax that Derek R did for me way back but everything on it stops around Floodland, is there a series of URTs?

Power Mix, Groove Mix and Radio Edit. They're not as good as the original song imo.Planet Dave wrote:not forgetting the 2 (or 3?) The "1993 Remix" of Detonation Boulevard is almost identical. The only difference that I can hear is that the intro on the VT version "On Detonation Boulevard..." is just female vocals, and the rest are female/male, but in the "Remix", all of them are dual-vocals.
That's really about it :/

Only one. The later VT promos/remixes (including the 3 versions of More C3 mentioned) are on Temple Of Rarities Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. German promo CD, US promo CD, Tour Thing 91 CD and then a bunch of other official stuff.James Blast wrote:I've got a CD called Ultra Rare Trax that Derek R did for me way back but everything on it stops around Floodland, is there a series of URTs?

Ah! thanks JR 7.0, I knew I had them somewhere, BBB sent me Tour Thing and as I recall, I'm rather partial to them.

I had the promo cassette of DETONATION BLVD and that version appears to be the same one that's on Overbombing. Compare the Overbombing vs. Vision Thing versions and you'll see what I mean. The bass is much louder, the guitars quieter and just sounds like an overall worse mix than the regular VT album version.Quiff Boy wrote:your dr jeep is the 12" versionTidal wrote:Since I'm nearing the point at which I will have heard all official Sisters songs, I've been looking which I'm missing, and I believe I only need confirmation now.

Temple Of Rarities - that's the biscuit, not URT. Nice work Johnny Info Rev 7.0 My URT cd is actually a KLF compo, easily confused I suppose.Johnny Rev 7.0 wrote:Only one.
