just something I learned today

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Today (well really yesterday, but still kinda learning it today) I learned that copious amounts of alcohol and strange sausages made from some unidentifiable but extremely strong-tasting substance do not go well together. At all.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I learned today that, despite the common saying, a hot knife really isn't much good at cutting through butter (when it's just been taken out the fridge).

Not much, issit?

I learned today that rockwool cannot be washed away by ordinary means, eg water, soap or sandpaper.

You itch for two weeks afterwards. Pay attention there, Christophe and Koen, fellow builders! ;D

I also learned that Delta-plates from Rockwool are way easier to handle and install than the ordinary 'rolled-up' Rockwool with the aluminium coating.

Stay chooned fer more building tips!

the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and you can't bar-b-que a black pudding or a Lorne sausage but a fruit slice does a treat

Two of the genetic abnormalities in foetuses that can lead to ambiguous genitalia are androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS) and congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH).
