Anyone going to see The Verve?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Strangley enough (considering my musical tastes) I'd seen Verve a few times in their early career, and could think of nothing better than lazing around on a hot afternoon listening and chilling out, but a comeback tour?

No thanks.

After the chav explosion following their last cd, I'll definately be avoiding any of these areas on those dates!

If I like a band it's because I like them, I dont care about who else does. Screw the demographic, so they got popular among the sheeple, it happens

Oooh, elitists!

Saw The Verve at a festie shortly after that important musician bloke had done a Craig Adams on them, and sadly they were a bit pants.

Surely if any crowd / fanbase would put you off having anything whatsoever to do with a band, it's the nightmare before christmas crowd who keep turning up at Sisters gigs. Words fail me.

They're the ones I like... it's another demographic that gets to me.

Back on-topic, never got into the Verve, probably never will.

I'm going to Manchester. That's the food budget for the month blown already. Mind you, that's dwarfed by the drinks budget which remains intact.
