THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.
It is time to announce the departure of my good friend
and honoury Whore, Ginger.
For obvious reasons Ginger's availability was always
gonna be limited so we have seen fit to organise a
more permanent replacement which I'll go into in more
detail in exactly thirty-six seconds.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank
Ginger (thanks being in no way a big enough word) for
all he has done to help get this project off the
ground.
Without his involvement and motivation there is every
chance that you may never have got to hear the album
let alone see us live.
To my mind, Ginger has always been very big on urging
others to get off their arses and take direct action
and I have to say that this has been nothing less than
inspirational to me and no doubt to many of you too.
For this reason and also 8 years (so far) of
friendship, fun and chaos, I'd like you all to join me
in wishing Ginger all the best in all of his future
ventures.
So anyway, this is probably as good a time as any to
introduce you to our new bassist/backing vocalist,
Chris Catalyst.
I've known Chris for a few years now and I cannot
stress enough how talented the man is.
He's an all round great musician, brilliant
singer/songwriter and always brings something to the
party.
He is a lovely person. He is also the guitarist and bassist in The
Sisters Of Mercy and his new band, Eureka Machines. Robochrist has a lot to thank him
for.
His involvement in this project will see this band
grow creatively. We are really lucky to have him on
board.
Please join me in welcoming Chris Catalyst.
Now that THE GOD DAMN WHORES are finally getting
relaxed into a new and exciting routine, I, RANDOM JON
POOLE, am in the process of writing songs for the 2nd
GOD DAMN WHORES album "INTRODUCING THE WHORES" which
promises to showcase the amazing talents of BIG JASE
EDWARDS, DENZEL and CHRIS CATALYST and to include a
wide range of musical styles, complex
arrangements, tribal drumming, chanting, harmonies, fun
and expert production from JASE EDWARDS who's
recording techniques have recently enhanced albums by
both GINGER and THE WILDHEARTS.
This may all seem rather previous as I am only at
this point in time in the writing/demoing process but
I have a pretty clear vision of what I want it to
become and wanted to share this with YOU.

Nah mate - it's t'other side of Woodhouse Moor. Go to the Hyde Park pub and carry on down past some shops on your right, then a scruffy carpark on your right and a kid's park on your left. Just over the zebra crossing, opposite a curry house.
No? Okay. How about just up the road from The Chemic?
