Looking for a book...

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

...for my friend. She doesn't have many details, but she thinks it was a poetry book written by Andrew Eldritch, probably in the 80's. Does anyone have any info on this, whatsoever? If so, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Perhaps she thinks Andrew Eldritch is Nick Cave? Oh, I'd imagine they'd both feel insulted by that....

Good luck finding it, it's now out of print. Originally published by The Reptile House in the 1990's, it contains all the lyrics that Andrew wrote up to and including First And Last And Always. It is not a collection of poems.
I don't necessarily agree with everything I think.

Why can't somebody just scan and upload the pages then? I know it probably is copyrighted, but assuming there has to be at least one Heartlander who has them it could be as simple as with Under the Rock...

The problem with scanning a book is that it tends to break the spine. Which leads to pages falling out. So, there's no chance of me doing that with my copy.

Nice gift. copy lyrics from lyricsonline.net, seal it in plastic and then say it's Eldritch poetry.

How many edits were released from the Heartland issues? 1 up to 4 or more? Thanks.

No Postcards II, so far as I'm aware.

Postcards, however, only contains the Von lyrics (so no Poison Door, Watch or HotHM) to released songs (so no Good Things), and inexplicably omits Damage Done and Adrenochrome. Well, maybe not quite inexplicably - when questioned on it once, Von's answer was "because I'm a bastard".
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
