Lots of times it's good to skip the support band. Them playing last makes it easy to leave...silentNate wrote:I got tickets to see Sisters of Murphy

Claytown Troupe:
What with some gigs on the horizon, we're thinking of having an open rehearsal , perhaps early evening of the 20 Dec 2007 before the NMA gig at the Astoria, so if you're going to that, you can come & let us know how we're sounding.
If you'd like to come to a CTT rehearsal let us know.

Okay then... last night the final chapter kickstarted in Waregem, Belgium.
A fairly small crowd (a few hundreds I believe) came to see The Mish' last gig in this place, but it's good to see some familiar faces popping up in order to enjoy the trip down memory lane Wayne & friends had in store for us.
For some reason I've always folded when the Mish came to play Belgium, but this time around I just wouldn't miss it and I'm glad I did go.
What a setlist! They only played old stuff from the first four albums and one track from Masque! Really wonderful to hear stuff like Serpents Kiss, Over the Hills & far away, Blood Brother, Stay with me, Dance on Glass, Into the Blue, Black Mountain Mist, Hungry as the hunter, Deliverance, Shelter from the storm, etc etc etc ending of course with Tower of Strength.
There were no surprises in line up whatsoever, but I understand that's gonna change during the tour... the addition of Simon H. is something to be on the lookout for, but the band is groovy enough as it is and they seem to enjoy to do this kinda tour.
Blimey, I 'm gonna have to arrange a trip down to Utrecht to see'm a 2nd time and maybe I should reconsider going to the first London gig too!
Christophe, Never Land, Fox, Dave-Kompas & Scardwell... it was an absolute pleasure to hang around the bar until closing time with you chaps
Top Nite Out
