Gunpowder tea is nothing special, but since it's nothing special (i.e. it tastes like tea and nothing else), it goes great with mint leaves. Careful though : it's very strong.Carpathian Psychonaut wrote:What's that like? I bought some Iron Buddha recently and that's very good....smiscandlon wrote:

To be a bit more specific, it has a very warm, smoky but mellow flavour. Not as "sharp" as a lot of green teas, I find it quite a comforting drink.smiscandlon wrote:it's delicious!
It is quite strong as Eric says, you don't need to use a lot to a pot, so it lasts longer!

Looks like I'll grab some to sit aside my admittedly smaller stack (Iron Buddha, Green, Dragon Well & White) - it's an excuse to drop into Chinatown if nothing else!smiscandlon wrote:Ignore the Frenchie, it's delicious!

we really need a "Pseuds Corner" on HL

I don't see that there's anything "Pseud" about genuinely enjoying something and wanting to talk about it.

Especially when it's about drinking things in a 'drinking' thread. Hardly a huge surprise.smiscandlon wrote:I don't see that there's anything "Pseud" about genuinely enjoying something and wanting to talk about it.

Don't worry, James, you'll get a lot less grating posts from me from now on.
