the smurphs vs the mish

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Hehe, just got my ticket for the mish.. :notworthy:

Too bad the Smurphs aren't gonna play in Utrecht, I would have enjoyed that one! Can't they come anyway? I mean, Holland is not that far!

And about the Smurphs opening:

I think that some people are just dying to get offended.

It's just a good joke, that's all. Cheer up!

Handbags at 20 paces. Best entertainment of the entire night. (Not to say that the Smurphs won't rock - of course they will).
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Hi there,

Just wanted to say that The Smurphs accepted the gig in good faith and look forward to it immensly. I dont see much in the way of a political stab by having us support the m*****n to be honest. If we had only been around a year and couldnt play perhaps but we can hold our own and are established as much as we can be as a "cover band" he he

Our intention is to give people a great opening act and justify our existance amongst such company.

The closer it gets the more im looking forward to it.... i just hope somebody cheers for us!!!

I for one think that it will be one hell of a night :D

I'll cheer the Smurphs and then I'll cheer the Mish.

It can't come round fast enough...

Fair play to you Pads. I think it's great. Like Pipo says:

And good for Wayne, at least he's not trying to pretend parts of his past never happened.

I think it's an honour to be the support act for a band of that size!

When the Mish played in the Netherlands some time ago, I tried to get my (former) band to be the support act. Unfortunately this wasn't possible, but I would be very happy if it had worked out well... So cheers to the Smurphs! :notworthy:

Why do some people think that Wayne asking the Smurphs to play is some sort of stab at the Sisters??

Surely he asked them to play purely on merit, cus they are a good band. To suggest otherwise is slight agaisnt the Smurphs.
