I know some of you have Sisters tattoos, which, I'm sure, reflects your love of a great band.
And likewise, fans of other...things, do the same. But, don't you think you can go a bit overboard?
Especially stuff like:
Taking it too far

It's a bit over the top. But it's his back, not mine. Now really over the top was the chap I saw in Soho....His entire FACE was a tattoo!!! NOW that is taking it way too far!!!! I would have loved to buy him a coffee and ask him what Inspired him. And on another thought, what kind of job do you think someone like that would have?

Most decent tattooists won't do face or hand work.Black Planet wrote:It's a bit over the top. But it's his back, not mine. He found someone to do it! It was amazing to see...I had to keep myself from staring as he was rather ominous looking, but I imagine probably a very nice guy.

Well, he's obviously good, but it's amazing what some people want on their arms. I'm far too fickle to decide on one thing - I change my hair style and colour every other week - bit difficult with something like a tattoo.

He may be good...but he's bloody fickle...especially when it comes to .new best friends!'
Five cups of coffee just to be myself...when I'd rather be somebody else

That's almost tasteful.
But what if I lost my hand in a freak accident? it would serve as a constant reminder of what I no longer had......
You see? Dangerous game tattoos.

be some tales behind them all i bet.
something to tell the grand kiddies at the fireside anyway.
as for the piercing, whatever floats your boat.
certainly dont find it offensive,or off putting.
Scary Guy has full facial tattoo and the odd puiercing too.tours the world visiting scholls and such talking about his experiences, reactions, his whole ethos.

I saw a guy at the Derby tattoo festival last year with a big sisters tat on the back of his head (New style symbol) full maori face tat and heavily stretched ears (Big bugger too)
Funny thing is I've never seen him at gigs?

years ago (my student days) i was a fan of Arts & Crafts Movement, William Morris, Pre-Raphaelites etc.Quiff Boy wrote:cant remember... is quite famous though. its called a "rosetti inspired back piece" on the site though, so i assume its by rosetti?Tinkerbell wrote:Which Pre Raphelite painting is that?
that pic seemed really familiar but meanwhile i looked at some books about that subject i got and also some websites but i couldn't find exactly such painting.
a couple of them were similar but not exactly the same.
maybe it wasn't a painting but a drawing (from a book for example) or something like this? you know, those guys did everything - books, carpets, furniture, stained glass etc etc etc
