March Violets Gig Arrangements/Meet Up.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

You could try the Travel Lodge(?) in Vicar Lane. They sometimes do discounts but probably not in December mind you. Apart from that, I'm not sure. Depends how cheap you want. Cheapest are the 4 hotels on Woodsley Road (Moorlea, Manxdene, Glengarth and Avalon) which are 15-20 mins walk from town centre but a good laugh to stay in. Some people are staying at the Comfort Inn.

Edit: Oh, forgot to say, I'm definitely coming!

The Ibis is fairly cheap (well the cheapest I found before I got bored looking) and looks like a short walk to the venue

So did we agree on the Drydock from 7 onwards? Or indeed much earlier if that's your preference. :P I'd guess the 'music' will be kicking off fairly early with all those bands on, but hey, wtf am I worrying about, the gig is ages off yet, and there's the small matter of a big bad rave-up in Manchester the week before to occupy my mind first.

Still, it's all coming together rather nicely. 8)

Do the March Violets have a drummer, or will they get a small bald geezer in to 'nurse' their drum machine? Seems fair enough to me, he might get to like it and realise its time to pass the 'singing' onto someone more capable. :innocent:

Like 'no cider' is gonna make a difference to the eventual outcome :P

Actually, you'd better stay reasonably 'good' Weebs, for when I start to do that collapsing thing in the small hours :innocent:

No idea what time I'll actually get there yet, will depend on this and that, but, ooh sh1t, no, its a saturday innit, so yeah - 6 onwards it is! :P  Oh dear oh dear oh dear ;D
