MacHeartland Christmas Gathering!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Same here. I've got too much stuff to do this weekend, (mainly job applications) and Aaron will be busy preparing lesson plans for his placement. That finishes next week so we'll both be able to make it on 15th or 22nd. 15th would be first choice though.

What about the venue?

oo-er!

Sounds fine to me Andrew, I'm not too fussed where we go as long as it's not too much of an 'ardcore Old Man pub... :innocent:

Which reminds me, has the Griffin/Griffinette/Griffinarama sunk yet?

My own personal feelings aside (sorry James) i've been to Clockwork and wasnae impressed.

If it came to walking into the Louden Tavern with my Celtic top on, or drinking Sarf of the River, then you can forward on any correspondence FAO the A&E Ward at The Royal Infirmary ;D

Well before this thread gets buried any deeper, it's been decided:

This weekend (Sat 15th) at McPhabbs from 7 or 8 onwards.

In the very likely event that Aaron & I have dinner there, we'll probably arrive around 7.

So see you all Saturday - I hope!

Pencil me in folks, though I don't know if I can make it yet (whereabouts are you all thinking?).

Not had much time to browse heartland much in the last few months due to combinations of parents in law, crashed cars, insurance companies and trying to redecorate the house! Aiiee.
