MacHeartland Christmas Gathering!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Claire you big girls' blouse! I also picked up a stinker of a cold in Leeds (I can blame you for it now  ), have been barely fit for work for a few days and STILL plan to show up tomorrow. Even if I spend the whole night sneezing all over everyone...

See you there then - and remember to bring a warm cardie! :)

The City of Dis?

"You approach Satan's wretched city where you behold a wide plain surrounded by iron walls. Before you are fields full of distress and torment terrible. Burning tombs are littered about the landscape. Inside these flaming sepulchers suffer the heretics, failing to believe in God and the afterlife, who make themselves audible by doleful sighs. You will join the wicked that lie here, and will be offered no respite. The three infernal Furies stained with blood, with limbs of women and hair of serpents, dwell in this circle of Hell."

Well that's two of us sorted, which of the HL ladies wants to be the other one?

It's a very accurate description you've given there, Martin... you've obviously been in Glasgow city centre of a Friday evening!

 Alright then!

I regret to inform that I am still loaded with the cold, so I'll have to take a rain-check. Seriously, you guys would just spend the whole evening laughing at me if I turned up, and I have already given my poor wee mum my germs

Still, have a great time all of you - sit inside!

Possibly, just for a couple.

Not feeling the "Mae West" either. So forgive me if I'm an antisocial bastard sitting in the corner looking miserable.

I'm bringing hankies. Lots of them. And I fully expect to make use of them all through the course of the evening.

See you all soon - I'm looking forward to shaking hands with every one of you
