Sisters with a Sounds Top 10
In the early 80's the music paper Sounds used to print all sorts of strange and weird top tens. It could be my imagination but I'm sure they did one for Andrew Eldtritches between song banter! I think a lot of people who weren't into the Sisters didn't get their humour but I found his comments between songs hilarious. The only one I can remember at the moment is when an audience member shouts for a song and Eldritch says in his best deadpan voice "no, we we don't play that song anymore, do we boys" (ok..ok..I know..you had to be there! I've got it on tape somewhere)

To mention a few......
"Good evening!"
"Isn't it strange who turns up on a day like this"
"There some strange looking people out here; I hope you're not with me. Ah ah, did I ask you to come? I think not! This is for you anyway"
"Sometimes I quite like you"
"When this a civilized city we will be pleased to play here, until such time, we will walk the wire"
"We are the light at the end of your sorry little tunnel"
"We came as a rock 'n roll band and a damn fine one. What did you come as?"
"Shut the f**k up"
"This war is wrong"
"Ca me gene pas"
"Where in the world is Radko Mladic?"

Hans from Belgium had a nice collection of Sisters one-liners. I don't know of he's (still) on this forum. Here's his site:sisterstekland wrote:"a day at the beach, part II" (crystal palace 93)

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
