the 'nagometer' works surprisingly well and can even discern between the various auto-settings on the stereo units. A side-effect 'santa' didn't think of is that 'drunken' chaps can have much fun cranking up the volume and then wandering around the house and garden to see if the shirt is still responding - best done at 4.00am when the neighbours are most pleased to try and understand the wonders of modern technologyDark wrote:Awesome, Ez.paint it black wrote:

Nah! I *heart* birds of prey (and birds in general! ). The falconry exhibition is my favorite aspect of the silly Renaissance Faire near Chicago; a couple of years ago, I spoke at length with the Faire's falconer about how he got his start, etc. I made a point of watching the birds of prey show at Warwick Castle in August, even though no falcons were part of the exhibition (their featured birds included an owl and a vulture! )...Syberberg wrote:SINsister wrote:Ooooooo - I'll have that, then. I left my heart in Ballycastle...
I like birds of prey too.
I love owls especially. They are like ghosts when they whizz past you at night.
We've got one living around here somewhere. Have to give it a name (we've had Barry the bat so no can do there).
Eric the owl?

OoOoOoOo! I'd love to see an owl in "real life" (exhibitions don't really count, pffffffffffffft)!Pista wrote:I like birds of prey too.

Hmmm. Ollie? Ondine? Onyx? How about X (like the owl in the Land of Make-Believe)?

His name was Benji (he was a Bengal Eagle Owl), and holding him I had the overwhelming feeling that he knew more about everything than I did There's something about birds of prey, they're just so alert looking that they make you feel like, well, a "doofus" in comparison. But that's OK.
Plus he let me stroke his tummy feathers and they were soft and fuuuuzzy
