Bauhaus - New Album 'Go Away White'

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

(Goes to sulk in a corner). :P
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I never was a Bauhaus fan until I really accidentatily ended up at a concert of theirs in 2006. And became really impressed, fantastic live band! Then I got their official records but I found them not as good as the 'live' thing. At the official website you can get official live recordings:

Are these any good? And if so which would be the best buy?

Bauhaus live post-2000 beats TSOM live post-2000, hands down.

Depends what mood I'm in...
Love the original 12"'s like the 4AD collection, the frantic pace of the early stuff, but then sometimes it's Slice Of Life or 'all we ever wanted....', but then again I think we're all like that about every band...

its all that dumb-ass psuedo-clever art-wank that used to turn me off bauhaus too :urff:

when they weren't trying too hard to be post-modern, and just got on with the business of making damn groovy songs they were absolutely stunning.

all through their career songs like sanity assassin, lagartija nick, double dare, in the flat field, stigmata martyr etc etc are all amazing, but their albums are utterly ruined by the insertion of what seem to me to be novelty songs! overly pretentious, bad 6th form poetry set to music... step forward of lillies and remains', 'small talk stinks', 'the 3 shadows'

dammit, they make you work for it
