Is it true that there is a unreleaeded demo/sound mixed version of Temple of love (1992) without the vocals of Ofra Haza.
or is this just a stupid rummor / lie ?
Does TOL (untouched by the hand of Ofra Haza) exist ?

Though I'd like to hear it myself I do love the Touched version.....

As Pat said, her vocals were mixed in after the initial recording. And like Terri Nunn (UTG), Eldritch met her in person for the first time at the ToTP performance. So yes, a version minus Ms Haza's warblings exists.

A wild guess would say:SINsister wrote:Erm...ok, so who actually has it, then?
#1 Eldritch
#2 God (not to be confused with #1) who knows all, sees all and hears all (so probably has the best iPod library ever).
#3 The Son of #2 who allowed his name to be associated with The Sisters on t-shirts in the 90's.
A serious guess would suggest it can only be found on the elusive VT demos. Apparently, along with other versions of the album track-list (and said song in discussion) are YCBTO and Alice 93 in various guises. Let's face it; 18 months in Sweden recording an album was a loooooong time to record an album and come up with only eight songs.
No doubt one day these things will surface into the food-chain.

According to an interview in UTR (can't remember which one, and don't have my copies of UTR available to check which one:oops: Help would be appreciated here!! Thanks in advance. ) made a comment along the following lines: "She [Ofra Haza] came in to do her vocals. She sang. We peeled ourselves off the ceiling and then she did it again, but better, for the second take and we had to peel ourselves off the ceiling again." That would suggest he was in the recording studio with her prior to the TOTP performance.
Out of curiosity, where did you get your info from?
I don't necessarily agree with everything I think.

..but wasn't the entire 2006 tour mimed to DAT (as some troll posted). That'd be why it was the best tour ever with perfect vocals and sound.
Oh, wait a moment.....

8 songs in 18 months? That's Von working his knuckles into the dust if you ask me, Johnny.
Interesting indeed about TOL92, but fwiw I adore the warbling.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I would seriously like to hear TOL92 sans wailing harpy.

Was it Alice or our daughter Ellice???
don't like Terri Nunn? nooooo, shurely shome mishtake?! i've always thought she looked kinda cute in the video. Must do a google image search....SINsister wrote:Before I knew that the vocals were Ofra Haza's, I'd thought that they were provided by Terri Nunn, who I also can't stand.
*Hides*
I have to say I love Ofra's vocals. TOL 92 opened me up to the delights of mid eastern music!

When the 92 version was released I hated it pretty much. Hey, in my defense I was only 14 years old and thought the 83 version was the best thing since hot water... I still like the original version best
I do have to say that viewing the Gegen Die Wand film made me see/hear the 92 version in a different light. It no bad actually
Ofra Haza herself is manna from heaven
in dub we trust
