...but I just stumbled upon that picture. I had only seen a smaller version, where i hadn't realized that this photo had the Sisters

-with Von wearing what looks suspiciously like a.......cape...
...this is the gothest picture I have seen in ages ....well it's actually quite beautiful, I must admit.
I remember some interview that had Von vehemently denying ever having worn a cape...

This is one fine display of all of the typical 80's different shapes of shades indeed.
Different Shapes of Shades, now that would be a great name for a band doing deathrock versions os Scooter songs....

Your second pic clearly shows a jacket, sure. But look at the first pic again - it's not the same garment. The neck/"lapels" are huge, and whatever it is () hangs down below everything else 's wearing, fanning out and revealing its striped lining...
It's not really a graveyard either; it's the field at the back of the Henry Price flats just on the edge of the university campus by the looks. St George's fields I think? The bit in the corner presumably used to be a graveyard but it's just a corner of a big open space now.
