Download - Thinking Symphony

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Perhaps you are right, I had delusions of grandeur.

I am biased. Perhaps it deserves a small clap,

I was trying too hard to sound like the SOM;

I guess nobody can. Thanks for listening to the track.

Why would you want to do that, though? There's only one TSoM - no one but ol' Eldo can be Eldo, after all. :von:
Why not come up with your own unique sound? Far more interesting than simply copying someone else's, imho. ;) ;D

I guess I lack the creative confidence to express true feelings.

True creativity does not lean on any body else's creativity.

Perhaps I have my own musical voice, rather than trying to sound like SOM, and not really sounding like them.

Inspiration is just a spark, I must put my own feelings in the music instead of trying to emulate SOM feelings.

Why would you even want to sound like TSOM? :urff:
You either sound good and get called a ripoff, sound alright and called "goth wank" or "s**t metal", or sound crap and have the same happen.

#1: You mainly lack the equipment to make what you do sound finished. An 8 bit keyboard simply doesn't deliver the atmosphere for that kind of music.
#2: Aye.
#3: What you made there didn't even remotely like the Sisters.
#4: Did you ever think of a career as story author for daily soaps? :wink: :P

Keep trying.
