Hitchhiker's Guide

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

A classic.

Sooooo much better than the recent film version. My old VHS copies rarely get time to gather dust.

I had a DVD copy of that and I threw it away a couple of weeks ago :|

If I had known some of you actually like this junk, I'd've sent it over

Naught beats the book IMO.

Deffo the book is the best, but I borrowed mine to some colleaugue (A real Yorkshireman now screwing up helis near Bonn, Krautland) and never saw it again.
Next comes the BBC TV series and with a long distace behind it the 2005 cinema version. It was very nicely filmed and well made and all, but it distorted the story just too much to score better. But I still enjoyed it.

I have all the parts on CD & it is excellent.
The TV show was good too though, although a lot was missed to get it all to fit their allotted time.
(& Marvin was much better in the original).
I have the VHS's but I can't believe the Beeb hasn't put out a dvd yet.
Cheers.

The ORIGINAL radio series is infinitely superior! ...

Cracking find! :notworthy:

I'm sure the movie's nowhere near as bad as I seem to remember, but despite having been given a copy on DVD some time back I still can't bring myself to watch it again. It completely misses the point - I don't really care what happens to Arthur Dent, but let's have more about the Great Nogzert of Arctoron IV.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
