songs on the new album?
Probly many times before, but it's good to get an up to date list anyway.
So far I think we have:
Come Together
War On Drugs
Summer
(We Are The Same) Suzanne
Romeo Down
Will I Dream?
Crash And Burn
Top Nite Out
Slept
May have missed one or two here. I make that 9 songs. As for which will be on the mythical beast, should a reliable sighting of it ever emerge, it's anyone's guess really. Come Together is 10 years old this year, and most of the rest are at least 5. We're all madly familiar with them, and there's a high probability that anyone who wants copies of them badly enough already has them. So my guess is none.
Assuming there ever is a new LP, that is (of course).

He always tends to insinuate that any new album would be written in the studio, so maybe none of the live songs of the last ten years would be used.

I have always been of the opinion that none of these songs would or could be on a new album.
Some of them are good, very good, but everyone knows them now and after playing Come together live for over 10 years it would be bitterly disapointing to see it promoted as new material.
I think though that they would make excellent B-sides and what with most CD singles now just having multiple remixes of the same songs they could mark a welcome return to the 4 or even 5 track singles of the eighties.
Under the gun was essentialy a 2 track single and Temple of love 92 was as well (on the 12" version anyway).
I dont think they could realy get away with that now.

That's another thing - what's with the sisters tenuous definition of "remixes". Von either plays it backwards (!), or cuts the end off, and then renames it. What a copout.

And then youv'e got the aborted release of Summer as a single which was supposedly gonna have 2 remixes of the song on it.

Suzanne would be my pick mostly becasue its a great song.
As for the rest....he's far too egotistical to issue the same old drivel as a new release and think he'd actually get away with it. It would essentially go nowhere. No singles, no radio play....nothing!
Perhaps I am a bit overly optimistic....but then again I tend to see things in a positive light.... I would think he'd release NEW material that would knock your socks off... like Floodland. But I think he'd need to partner with Steinman for that.

Crash and Burn has got to be a strong contender, since a) it's pretty new, and b) it's very silly (in a brilliant way), in the mould of This Corrosion and More. Other than that, I agree with BP, Suzanne would be great. I'd buy two copies. Heck, I've been saving my 50 pence pocket money for twelve years now, ready to buy the next Sisters record. I currently have over four hundred pounds. I'll buy the shop.

release two albums in a short period of time.
My guts feeling is that the first album
will include:
Crash and Burn

Suzanne
Slept
(because otherwise the Sisters concert goers might not buy the album)
while on the second one
Romeo down
Will I dream
will be included as a combined medley.
"War on drugs" will be a left over to be found on
a Gulf war movie soundtrack.
Top nite out is going to be on a CD single or
the theme of a DVD single, which will keep
repeating again and again until you select the
title track or the acoustic version of Ribbons,
which includes the guitar playing of Justin Sullivan or any
other musician- who gives a s**t anyway.
Come together probably will never be released and
this is a shame.
Von once said that the album will be realesed in February but
did not mention a year...let's assume he is already recording it and
we all have no glue about that.
So we have the album all in our hands on February 16th 2004 and will
enjoy a short tour named "Hit the track" next March and Robert
Palmer's "Addicted to love" as lovely encore.
Do I dream ? Probably yes....

Must admit I like the SSV album. At any rate it sounds much better than that cat wailing effort he appears on with Sarah Brightman. I can feel my teeth clenching just by thinking about it.

I hope it doesn't end with Romeo Down...Even Neverland is better, as is I Was Wrong and Stranger...not Romeo Down, please. They might as well just make a long Come Together / Romeo Down medley, and just call it Big Comedown.
I find myself liking a couple of SSV tracks, especially Shut the Ferk Up, which is quite hypnotic. Says he didn't write it or appear on it. Sometimes seems as though it carries his touch. Do we read in too much sometimes? Of course.
