Le crunch

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Knock forward I think

I think I may be missing your point.

I'll see your Gordon and raise you a Quentin (to Harold, double-reverse-pass, indirect). ;D
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I had no idea that we were playing by Trumpington's Variations - in which case I'm afraid I'm going to have to farkle, and bollocks to the lot of you.

You can't, Emsy. This is the abstract version where names of undergound stations and bus stops aren't allowed. Thus the one who says absolutely nothing in his post wins.

In that case, I wasn't misunderstanding. ;)

No, I agree, an 'economy' based on off-the-books borrowing disguised as "Private Finance Initiative" (or whatever it's called) was never going to last. And this from a 'prudent chancellor' no less.

I know I know :(

No-one seemed to get my knock-forward thing either. A case of poor handling that hands the initiative to the opposition.

I get the feeling that Francis might be a fellow fan of cryptic crosswords.
