Tech Help - Internet Browers - Which One Do YOU Use

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Good Evening Everyone

I am in a bit of a fix - I need some advice on which Internet Broswer I should install

I tried IE 7 - but it really played havok with my OS (XP Pro SP2) so got rid of that

Thought I would go back to Opera - installed 8.0 or 8.5 - but that crashes too much and I lose all the tabbed pages i was looking at - usually about 10

Is MOZILLA any good - or shoudl I be looking at something else?

Thanks in advance

Andy

Love FireFox, wouldn't go back to IE for money. Running FF on XP Pro, love the Tabs feature.

Recommended addons:
adblock plus -- you need never look at an online advert again. 8)
greasemonkey (if you know any javascript) can customise how any webpage loads in your browser
I use web developer -- handy toolbar for webby types.
undo closed tab -- what it says on the tin.

Any others anyone?

yeah the one that lets you set pages to reload automatically after a certain time. not recommended for forums - if it reloads in the middle of you scribing wisdoms, they get lost. handy for other stuff tho

Customize Google is fairly neat.

as my PC is rather old (LOL) I do not want to overstrech it - it might throw a fit etc.

I hope one day soon to upgrade the whole thing and do the things that I actually want to do (like play Quake 4 / Half Life 2) ;-)
