Ben Christo playing with Ayin Aleph: guest list places avail

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

If I were Ben, I'd bring some foul eggs to throw at the audience for quotations like that.
Get your head around it, Karst. It's not 1985. The band moved on.

Well, to be fair, Ben's not exactly the best guitarist The Sisters have ever had is he?

@markfiend: I agree. But then: Adam Pearson is and exceptionally good guitarist. And there were others in the band who don't *quite* reach that level of skill, yet no one bashes them. I've no idea why some people feel they have to attack Ben then.
I, too, think he should omit some of the harmonics and play the songs in a straighter style. Obviously, :von: wants it to go this way. Otherwise he would surely ask Ben to change it.

I agree Adam is a great guitarist and whatever it takes, get him back. I mean, half of the new songs are written by him anyway...

I guess so. Or maybe he just couldn't get anyone else...

Yes all the other guitarists over the years have had their good sides and bad, but I just don't rate Ben at all. :|

Just my opinion or taste. I'm happy to agree to disagree. :)

Of course it was his own decision and I respect that. That said, money was probably the issue.

I wonder whether the failure to release any new material could have been part of the reason for Adam's departure.

As I do not follow the steps he is taking I am not sure if he is making more money now.

But I guess a release, like Mark says, might have changed his plans.

we've been over this ground ad infinitum:
Adam didn't want to release Summer, Suzanne etc....

Because he is younger, cuter, seems too inexperienced and innocent to deserve all that success, and - if that weren't enough - he got to play with The Sisters :?: :|
