TSOM covers by heartlanders ? I just covered Alice.

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

The notes are more or less correct but it all goes a bit out of time :?

But hey, so do all the early Mumbles songs  ;D

The timing troubles sound familiar, actually: You play it correctly, but the recordings are terribly out off time order.
ASIO4ALL solved the problem for my Windows system.

I dunno, it gives it a certain charm I think.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

It forces Windows to store the sampled data when they arrive, and not when the system thinks it might be a good time to do so. In other words: It reduces the latency to acceptable values for cheapo souncards. Thus soundcards that don't offer ASIO fuctions can record as well. You should have heard how increcdibly crappy the tune I posted in the "Create your own band&album"-thread sounded on the recording before I got the ASIO4ALL thingy. The recorded track wasn't near the rythm. But I have no problem at keeping the rythm. Hitting the right keys is a different matter. But you already know that.

Aha, sounds useful!

If you install it after recording something that's gone out of time will it resync it?

:| Nae. It just gives you a steady and smaller latency for non-ASIO soundcards.

i was thinking to record something with the sound used on the soundtest...
but i'm working on some more 'metal-riffs' style like burn and amphetamine.
I guess the next songs will be Black Planet or Marian (twice metal xD?) or maybe Wide receive =x

Long time lurker, first time poster..

I covered TOL and Emma a couple of years ago if you're interested..

http://rapidshare.com/files/92758009/Temple_of_Love.mp3
http://rapidshare.com/files/92758325/Emma.mp3

Enjoy!!!
TOL is ok but Emma is a really, really touching version with a great showdown at the ending.

Any change to get this unlossy? :notworthy:

If you can't fix the problem because of hardware-limitations or whatsoever it's still possible to align the stuff manually inside the multitracker.
