EURO 2008

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Congrats :notworthy:
Don't know about that, am looking forward to watching Spain again today. And Croatia took care of the Germans very well.

We care, that's why we're talking about it.

I won't be able to update today cause I'll be out of the country and prolly miss the match too. I wanna see Portugal win but I still feel bad for the swiss. the czech need to play like they did in the last match and not the first one. on Monday germany needs to go. go austria (the chances I know)

unrelated but wish me good luck on my job interview Monday morning

thanks. crosses paws. anyhow the czech did the same thing 4 years ago, the first game was rather disappointing then they did a lot better. I hope that will be the case this time around too

The whole country went crazy!
My local bar Trim was too small.
One of my friends was in Bern. Between around 40,000 other Dutchies. (edit: 60,000   )
That must have looked like one big orange spot on Google Earth.

No riots at all. Just soccer and good parties. The way it should be.... :D

Looking forward to the next one. If they let Romania win, France and Italy are out of the tournament so they cannot meet them again if they get through to the semi finals. Don't hope so though but probably some good players will get some rest I guess.

Next clash on Saturday. Hope against Mother Russia. The Swedish are hard to beat and have always been a hard oponent for the Dutch.
Happy that the game is on Saturday. Saves me a day off from work. :D

The public opinion is that we should try our best to beat them. Cannot imagine we do not try to be good sports and give hope to Italy and France in which case I support the Squadra Azzuri.

Absolutely brilliant. The Turks were fantastic in the end. The Czechs aren't what they used to be and haven't been for years now. Turkey never gave up and played brilliantly to win. What a game. Numpty goalie though

I was talking about the Turkish keeper getting himself sent off.
