Sisters' Time Capsule

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I don't know if this has been done before, so I beg forgiveness in advance if it has...

Here we are on 22nd June, 2008....what one item from your TSOM collection would you put in a time capsule for someone to dig up & discover 100 years from now? (being an optimist in hoping the world will still be here).

I would start off with my A Black Dress Looking Like Mine dvd so people could get to see & hear this great band in different aspects.

Who wants to add something???

The "Record News" page from the official website - they could compare it with the version that would be then-current, and see if it has been updated yet. ;D

Otherwise, maybe the Body & Soul 12". If - as seems likely - it never gets a proper reissue, they'll want to have a copy of it.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

@mh...great avitar...perhaps the kitty could update the website also?

@Paul...guess the left kidney could be considered a collector's item, though I'd think his heart would be worth more. Maybe if you can track that down, you could trade for it & return it to :von: and he'd then be able to feel compassion again. Then, he would take pity on us, get his a** back in a recording studio and give us a new cd or something!!

on that note...as nobody else has offered to save it for future(?) generations...I'll throw in one of my BE's!

All the court transcripts.
Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.

i would donate (post mortem natch) the 3 items i have which i believe to be unique, namely:

a set of (non-digital) photo prints from the leicester '85 gig (bought from the photographer so copies and negs may exist but doubtful as he was a completely fucked up member of the "anaconda owners club" who was flogging his possessions to feed said creature and has subsequently taken the final ride)

a black and white portrait of eldritch from the same gig -taken by a different photographer (who happens to be a girl i was once with who can vouch for it's) 100% uniquity)

the nurse's cue-sheet for the doktor from rock city 2006, signed by mr D himself (signed setlists are so passe.. :P  )
