if you dont pin too much onto it, or try to read too much into it, and leave your brain in a box outside the cinema for a couple of hours, its quite enjoyable - its just a dumb-ass yank big budget action flick, and works quite well when viewed like that
and its not nearly as disasterous and mind-bogglingly up its arse as matrix releaded.

And why so glum? He's far to the left of Bush in his politics and his wife is a Kennedy....they were all there to celebrate with him. (and I am sure they will give him advice too!)
And in case you are wondering, he CAN NOT be president. You must be born in the USA for that. He can only rise to Congress or Senate.

doesnt that fly in the face of "the american dream"? the ideal that anyone can better themselves and make something of themselves? the whole ellis-island thing where all the immigrants think they can one day become something, maybe even president of the united states?Black Planet wrote:And in case you are wondering, he CAN NOT be president. FWIW, I didn't vote for him.
I have a feeling many people were voting for a Cult of Personality rather than a political party.
Hell I even briefly considered him. After all, he's pro-choice, pro gun-control, pro gay rights, pro gov't programs, and he's married to a Kennedy.
He's definitely not a typical republican.

Given the choice I don't think I'd have voted.
