Those other releases.

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I was just wondering, but who has the rights to re-release those other Sister products?
The question probably is who is willing to make them but lets say they would take the chance to go for it.
- Wake (finaly on dvd?)
- Some Girls wonder by mistake
- A slight case of over bombing
- Sisterhood – gift (?)

I would think especially “some girls… would sell (at least better as the previous re-releases.

The question proably is "who is willing to make them available for digital download?". Given you can get most, if not all, on YouTube, the answer is prolly nobody.

Some Girls and ASCOO don't make much sense to re-release as there are still plenty available, I think?

As for Wake, I seem to remember it was by someone else who released it than the usual record company? Probably they would be even less inclined to spend money on promoting this as it's the sole Sisters thing they do/did and can't combine it with other releases to make it cost-effective...

Gift, now that'd be nice!

They could always press up a nice and simple 2 dvd box set with Wake (the complete gig), Shot Rev 3 of ALL the promos and add some bonus footage such as York '84 and TV appearances like OGWT '85 (suitably cleaned up and remastered obviously).

Will I dream....?
Is this the place I used to know as Fatherland?
