This attracts me more...:

Who's MGT anyway?

@ Dinky Daisy...have to agree with you on the VT recording line up! Loved Tony on the bass. Also thought he & made a cute little couple! Don't get me wrong, FALAA is a great record also but I never cared for WH. If I had to pick only 1 side to listen to, I'd take side 2. bte, you're avatar is a hoot!!
As for the tea...2 lumps, milk and lots of honey, please!

Agh, poop. I know its religion, but nobody's ever come close to playing the pre-Foodland songs the way WH did. Even Eldritch will tell you as much after a few low-sugar drinkies.
The guy may not be able to write lyrics for toffee, but he sure as hell could play a sisters tune live, even if he didn't write it.

Ah, probably Muziekkrant Oor. Those wankers once took Tim Bricheno for Hussey, so you know it.zero01 wrote:I'm sure I read in some dodgy music mag in the early 90's that AE considered WH one of the best the band had.

When it comes to Sisters guitarists....the boy from Bristol is GOD
Give me one good reason
Have to agree. Whatever you think of The Mish, you can't argue his talent on the guitar. Just listen to those gigs from 1985 without Marx, Hussey does a great job. If you can bear it, go see him solo, his work on the acoustic is great. Plus he does requests.Spiggy's hat wrote:When it comes to Sisters guitarists....the boy from Bristol is GOD
And he had a hand in (so to speak) Marian. For which i can forgive him many things. And didn't Von say this to Wayne at the Wembley gigs back in 1990?
If old members were to come back i think more headlines/cash/income would be from Eldritch and Hussey reuniting than it wold from Gary (Mark) or Craig...not that it'll happen.
matt..

Von's exact words were: "I mean character issues aside, I still think Wayne's a very, very good guitarist."lachert wrote:no. no. that's not true. that's impossible!!!zero01 wrote:I'm sure I read in some dodgy music mag in the early 90's that AE considered WH one of the best the band had.
Which he is.
But the best The Sisters have ever had? Well, that's subjective.
I don't necessarily agree with everything I think.
So, to hijack the thread slightly, anyone want to volunteer their (Will I?) Dream Sisters Lineup?
Since I'm undecided, I'll volunteer Korin's instead:
Vocals and £3 amp - Gary Marx
Dropping the drum sticks - Andrew Taylor
Peeing on the tape deck - Spiggy

"The M*****n" being interviewed in Melody Maker in late 1990. From what I can remember the band got an invite to meet backstage at one of the Wembley Arena gig's, Simon Hinckler and Craig Adams (still very peeved about the split) declined, Mr Huss and Mick Brown happily went. I understand the 3 of them got quite drunk and chemicals were involved (Mr Huss had taken an E and Mick was tripping). It was remarked they kissed and made up, and said Mr Huss was the best guitarist he'd had in the band. Mr Huss stated to the reporter he was most unhappy as he'd heard claims of slagging him in the german press a few days laterzero01 wrote:I'm sure I read in some dodgy music mag in the early 90's that AE considered WH one of the best the band had.

The rumour has been on here too!And another question :
Did Hussey ever have a relationship with Astbury? It's a rumour I heard years ago.

So the story goes, anyway.
I've heard that one, too.
