THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

You're still at the rue Neuve, right?
I stumbled upon the bloody disc in Hasselt, capital of taste
I needed some blanc discs so popped in there to be rather surprised by this disc laying there in the usual MM-big pile-style. Couldn't resist of course!
I emailed Rhino UK, here is the response I just received:
Hi
Thank you for your email.
The Sisters of Mercy Platinum release does not have a release date at
present. If there is further news it will be available to order form
Rhino.co.uk.
Many Thanks

Hope this helps a little. It at least means it's a real release, but didn't answer my question about a track-listing.

everything is what it seems, if you look hard enough tonight and see...
Hello....question for the more resourceful amongst you out there..it does indeed look like one of the cheap CD double packs...however, the following link shows that there are 40 tracks:
I work in a high street record shop, and we had loads of CDs in this range in this week - but not the Sisters one. It's basically cheap nonsense to cater for promotions etc.
The other titles range from the decent (Stooges, Ramones) to the pisspoor (STP, Morcheeba...). Packaging is minimal, small repros of the original sleeve, no sleevenotes, no service to a band's own aesthetic. The only thing that might make the Sisters one worthy of interest is that the Aretha Franklin double pack has the remastered, extra tracks version of I Never Loved A Man...so you might get the expanded VT but I'd be very surprised if they'd bothered doing a remaster of SGWBM just for this range.
