DERAILED - RANTS OF THE MAD (Moved from Sisters chat)

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Anyone who has anything more to say about that gig in Portugal, which I think in some way was connected to this thread a long time ago?

Can a mod please cut out the drivel of the last two pages, move it to General Chat and give it a Topic Title such as 'Derailed Rant Part MCCLXIV'?

This is very tiresome to read.

And i absolutely hate a pretentious band like Grateful Dead. They are the industry's reply to the Doors and that's exactly why they are a huge commercial success with sheetloads of idiotic fans.

Pure b******t! The Dead have nothing to do with the Doors and were never the industry's reply to nothing. because they never really were part of the industry.

For the record, Nick Cave is a living legend.

Nick Cave > Von ... every time.
I really wonder how anyone can see such merit and depth in Von's lyrics (often really poor, I feel) while dismissing the work of Mr Cave so rashly :urff: . But hey ho, that's just me.

Suprisingly, given my well-documented ahum, "soft spot" for the lovely Mr Bargeld, I actually haven't lost interest in the Bad Seeds at all since he left. They're still turning out absolute gems IMHO 8)

Just let him have the real one and watch what happens.
The two would have made up a nice couple!

BTW: Kiley does have an artistic potential, I think. Confide in Me is not such a single layered piece of pop-vomit, for example. But she likes the bucks more than the fame, I guess. Her decision.. Think of it as you please.

The Doors were a "real" band ?

Sure they had some hits but come on, they were pop band hardly on the same level of GNR.

Really not the biggest fan of Nick Cave, but I do really like that duet.
End of line.
