Olympics
Bored & watching the Olympic coverage. Must say, men's gymanstics is pretty interesting. The kid from Great Britian that just won a medal was a little cutie! Guess I could be watching something worse than young guys with toned bods. Too bad they're so short!

Whenever i have the chance i do enjoy watching women's gymnastics and swimming jumps... i mean, it's just art.
The female body, that is.
Generally though i don't spend that much tissue watching them as when i was younger...

Who remembers when that one diver hit the head on the platform and pluged the 30 feet like a dead albatros?Little_Sister wrote: i know what you mean, i also like to watch platform diving because it´s so pretty
Oh, and Dei: True what you say there. I guess many boys are happy about haing a TV set in their rooms.

Not really into the Olympics as such, but if you (attempt) to play sport like I do you can empathise and admire someone's skill, dexterity and determination to Be The Best Of The Best.

True that, I can't watch it for a long period of time.
Then again, I think it is still much more interesting to watch than say the Tour de France, EK football or bloody tennis.
As opposed to the three sports I mentioned, Olympic sporters really TRY to do their best, thus earning my respect.
Otherwise, I was pretty disappointed when China completely failed to smack two divers in the concrete slab during Synchrone Diving
IZ.

the medal race in the 49ers class was total carnage and the winners with borrowed equipment (TV not really dealing with it all only added to the spectacle

A theocracy ruled by the Dalai Lama isn't necessarily going to be any more democratic than external Chinese rule...

But...it would certainly be a less violent one. And less opposed.markfiend wrote:A theocracy ruled by the Dalai Lama isn't necessarily going to be any more democratic than external Chinese rule...

Just playing devil's advocate.
Given the current Dalai Lama's views as I understand them, he's pretty pro-democracy.
