Sisters live in Burgas, Bulgaria, Fri 15 August ?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I actually love a proper moshpit including pyramids, people sitting on other people's shoulders etc. For me it just adds to the atmosphere of a gig, and most of the time the band enjoys this kind of action, which means they're in a better mood, which generally leads to a better performance/gig etc.
Yes, it can hurt, if you're standing in the wrong place, so I'll always be at the side and far back at a NMA gig, or in the front row at a Sisters gig, where you can cling to the barrier but feel the pressure of a lovely lively audience behind you.

For me there's nothing worse than a "cool", unmoved crowd with serious looking faces. From my experience that's the death of any gig, and unfortunately far too often the case where I live. The bands will politely do their show, but there won't be any sparkles flying between band and crowd. It will be a somewhat sad evening in the end...

Well said. i don't know, or at least like, any band that prefers a passive audience...all bands i like complain about it in one way or another.

For me, the only truly annoying things are:
1. People who push their way to the front (and make it harder for me to get there) - only to later stand there NOT looking at the stage and chat about anything, say - previous line-ups, or the lack of new album - not only between the songs but also during the songs.
2. People who think that Eldritch needs them to help him sing - every song, as loud as possibe of course.
Any other behaviour is perfectly acceptable for me.

Us tall people have paid out for the same ticket price(s) as you, so why shouldn't we see the band up close?

Being tall doesnae mean you have better eyesight....

If you put the price in relation to our size I bet we pay less money (per inch)^^

Och, I don't stand in front of people on purpose, I'll gladly let someone in front of me if they cannae see (as I did for Boudicca at the last Glasgow gig). I'm sure they'd rather have a tall friendly guy stood near than some drunken lech who tries to molest them :|

I don;t mind, since I'm in front row usually ... But I can't stand it when they're up there, try to sing along but don't know the lyrics and make spastic moves with their arms ...

I like the arm-moves of NMA - fans though, like they try to twist their arms into a celtic knot

I didn`t mean someone who stands in the front from the beginnign but someone who needs to squeeze infront of me just to be one person nearer to the stage eventhough he could see just as good over my head... but i can't see over their head because they are too tall...
