THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Ugh. That's awful.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

Manheim, the home of Xavier Naidoo. They ought to ban their musical offsprings.
I don't think our German members will be too happy with that comment.

And, dear Gollum´s Cock, if you lived here maybe you´d understand such sentiments.
Is there no one out there who´ll give exile to a potty trained mid thirty Kraut? :|

Pissing on your own country is a must. It's healthy. We all know that. I don't believe anyone here is that much patriot and therefore defends his or her background with blood and honor.

Hell, come to Texas. We've got places here where they still speak German, make damn fine beer and wine, and make damn fine sausages. Best of all, most of these places are out in what's called the Texas hill country, which is absolutely gorgeous (Fredericksburg, New Braunfels, etc). You'll feel right at home, except everyone will be libertarian.

And no, I am not joking. There are also parts of Texas where they still speak Czech. We are not just cowboys, Native Americans, and Mexicans.

*bzzt!* Error spotted! I want to escape the bastard public Germans!
No, it's not as bad, actually. Generally, I'd go anywhere where I have the prospect for a more successfull life than in the realm of Siemensian corruption and Titty Twitster's stagnation.
They make nice planes at Kerrville. During my studies I worked for their german sales partner at Hangelar Airfield.

I live thirty minutes drive from Germany, I like it much better than Britain. Luckily Holland took in a potty minded mid thirty Welshman.
