T-shirts

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Hello.
Though a Sisters fan from back in the day, am new to forums and such. Have read posts with interest and thought I'd contribute. Was wondering if there's a pictorial list of Sisters official t-shirts existant somewhere. I see a few appearing on ebay now and again. Haven't managed to see the sisters for quite a while, Dublin in 99 was the last time as I recall, where if I remember the bootleg shirts were of better quality than the offical ones. Same for Wembley in early 90s. Always liked the Reptile House output though, have fond memories of the Jesus Loves the Sisters shirt. Apologies if this is very old ground. Thanks for your time.

Ta for that. Hope I'm not the first! Another shirt I had was a Reptile House Andy Warhol soup can/police on horses/cross shaped one. Thanks for all the responses.

Another official one I bought at the Merciful Release stand at Pukkelpop 1992 was the smoothly titled 'bootleg-shirt'. Big Head & Star on the front, Hasselt; 29-8-1992 on the back.

I have had that for a long time. Very cheap and good quality.
It was sold by guys walking around in the area.

I still have it and because it was a one size fits all affair and rather very large I never wore it much.
I did buy mine from the Merciful Release Merch guys though! Official and all... it was a wee bit cheaper than the other shirts on sale, like Alice & Reptile House, which I couldn't afford.

I loved the Andrea White illustration t-shirts from the Reptile House, I had two, but they are too old to be worn now. I like them because only Sisters fans would recognise them. My favourite one was/is another from the reptile house, grey with the word REPLICANT in black across the chest. I also remember a grey long sleeve Vision Thing shirt with the symbol covering the front and going onto the arms. Couldn’t afford to get that one. My beloved replicant shirt is full of holes now and was worn for the last time for the purposes of holiday snaps a week ago. I will now be without Sisters t-shirts :( . I might have to start making my own! :-)

So was mine - a peace offering when they closed down The Reptile House for good. Don't know if I still have it, maybe it's in the vault with the others. Might dig it out for the NY show.
