Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Well, successfully moved to The People's Republic of West Yorkshire, with a few added trials..like the car springing a terminal oil leak between leaving the M5 and joining the M1. Arrived at the new house very late on a recovery truck.

Thanks for all the good luck comments, it appears they were indeed necessary as the offending oil leak wasn't just from the sump seal giving out, but also the rear suspension pipe getting a hole and applying oil to the rear offside (that's the right hand side of the vehicle for all you good people who insist on driving on the wrong side of the road  ) wheels (which made the handling rather...interesting) and explains why the back end of the car was wanting to venture out into the middle lane when going any faster than 55mph.

Maisey, there's a PM incoming as well as email and MySpazz message. Just to make sure.

News just in: massive pile-up at the M5-M1 junction due to cars skidding on spilt oil ;)

Glad you got here safely.

Cheers guys. :notworthy:

@psichonaut, funny you should suggest that. Plan A was to get a bike for all non-car-essential journeys. Unfortunately (and yes, I really should've known better than to expect any plan to survive contact with the enemy/reality  ) I now have to enact Plan B - Spend some of the money allocated for bike to get car fixed, start saving again.

@Weebs, you really can't help yourself can you?
