Rick Wright of The Pink Floyd dies

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Sad news. :(

At least it was a short struggle - a merciful release :(

The man who wrote "The Great Gig In The Sky".

Hope it's a good one.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

click the wee right pointing triangle at the top left and you will hear his piece for the fight sequence that never made it into the movie Zabriskie Point, I think we all recognise what it became

Gutted. Rick was always a favourite with me. The gentle quite man with stunning musical ability

I know he had some eye surgery a few years ago, but never expected this.

Planet Rock broadcast an interview recorded last year with Rick being interviewed by Guy Pratt (son in law) about Piper.

That was a shock. But his music goes on... RIP

Real shame. He was fantastic on Gilmour's last tour. Even did The Great Gig In the Sky with Sam Brown in Paris.

Nick and Roger speak, finally
